Indoor Fire Risk
Maintenance component is the epicentre of inherent risk given the possibility of detectors and/or sprinklers becoming faulty from time to time.
Alarm, also known as “Fire” or “General Alarm”. This indicator is lit when an alarm or sensor fault condition exists in the system, initiated by smoke detectors, heat detectors, sprinkler flow switches, manual pull stations, manual call points, or otherwise.
Management is generally unaware of general alarms. Junior personnel and security officers are normally responsible for monitoring the system where information flow is unstructured and hardly reach facility’s decision makers.
However, regulations prescribe a mandatory annual fire system maintenance; it is during this process where management will be made aware of system faults. Sadly, in between maintenance intervals facility exposure to fire is not controlled for faulty devices area of responsibility.
Gilela tech, we extract fire system risk readiness data from Fire Control Panel near real-time and share it with relevant stakeholders. Alarms are monitored by highly trained agents.
